"Today is the annual Thank Your Mentor Day! I would like to send my sincere gratitude to the volunteers, mentors, Big Brothers, and Big Sisters that have so graciously devoted their time to work with a child in the Farmington School District! You are all wonderful and know that your little’s are THANKFUL & overtly excited to have you as part of their life. Being a mentor is one of the easiest ways to give back to your community and through your efforts and dedication, you display that for all of San Juan County. Again, with the warmest sincerity….THANK YOU!!!!!!"

"Dear Mentors for Aztec, Bloomfield and Blanco-
I want to thank you, each and every one, for taking the time to be in the BBBS’ School-Based Program! It has been an honor to be able to see first and second-hand how all of you have been a spark of light and joy to your “Little”. Furthermore, you make my day-time and time again- raising my hope and helping me see more light shine in our community! You do make a difference."

"Thank you to the mentors who serve in Newcomb, Shiprock, Kirtland, Ojo Amarillo and Nenahnezad areas. I would like for mentors to know how much of an impact they can make. Listening to a child talk about their day can be so fulfilling for a child. They hear me; they listen to me; they acknowledge me = a wonderful feeling for a child. Spending one hour a week makes a difference for any child. I always smile when I am asked how come my big brother or big sister can’t come two times a week or more or they ask can they stay for 2 hours. I can honestly say mentors make a difference for children. With this being said, thank you to mentors who graciously commit themselves to their communities."

"I would like to thank The Mentors who are or have participated in the 2nd Chance and Project Venture program. The all have mastered the three C’s of mentoring – Caring, Consistency, and Commitment. They have gone over and beyond to mentor the kids who are high risk. They have helped restore hope and confidence in their lives. Most of the time students will say that they don’t know what to do after high school or if they will graduate. But Mentoring has had a positive impact in their lives where it has changed their outlook for future success. You are very much appreciated and thank you to all the 2nd Chance and Project Venture Mentors!"

"Today is a WONDERFUL day. It’s a day to thank those who give others the inspiration of HOPE. These individuals are DEFINITELY one of a kind. Serving as a Match Support Specialist with the Community Based Program I have been able to team work with mentors who serve as Big Brothers and Big Sisters to children ranging from 6 years of age and up. They all do a tremendous job with their Little’s in instilling hope and the ability to reach for the stars. I am EXTREMELY grateful to work with such AWESOME individuals. I also would like to thank the families and community members who give their support. Please take the time to thank those who have inspired you to conquer your DREAMS!!!!"
